Cash in transit bombing near Brits

Another Cash in Transit bombing occurred today, this time on the M39 in Rooiwal, close to the military base in Brits.

Wahl Bartmann, CEO of Fidelity Services Group confirmed the Incident occurred at approximately 07:39 this morning when the cash vehicle was ambushed by a group of heavily armed suspects who used explosives to blow up the vehicle. “The vehicle was totally destroyed. Fortunately none of our officers were injured in the attack but unfortunately two SAPS officers on their way to work were injured in the incident,” says Bartmann.
