Three suspects involved in a cross pavement cash robbery this morning at a garage in Oudtshoorn have been apprehended and arrested.
Wahl Bartmann, CEO of Fidelity Services Group, said the incident happened around 11:00 this morning when his teams were collecting cash from a garage business owner in the area.
The officers were approached by three armed suspects when they left the premises and a money bag was stolen.
Fidelity was able to give SAPS a detailed description of the three suspects who were later apprehended in a roadblock set up by SAPS on the Outeniqua Pass. “Fortunately no one was injured in the incident and the money bag was retrieved without any loss. This is a great example of how private security can work effectively with SAPS and we commend all the different parties who were responsible for this arrest,” concludes Bartmann.
