Police arrested a suspect after he allegedly trespassed on an industrial property in Parow Industrial recently (around 3 am, Friday 24 June 2022).
“We received an alarm signal from the premises on Ruben Kaye Road and sent two armed response officers to investigate,” explains Mr. Jade Hanning, Western Cape General Manager for Fidelity ADT.
As they stopped outside the address, the officers noticed an unidentified person jumping over the wall and running away. They were able to catch up with him before he could get away.
“The suspect was handed over into the custody of Ravensmead SAPS. Please always make sure your alarm system for your place of work is working properly and has an effective battery backup system in place. If there is any uncertainty about the system’s technical condition, ask your security company to come and test it today,” says Hanning.
