A suspect was handed over to the SAPS earlier this week (Tuesday 23 November 2021) when he allegedly trespassed on two residential properties in the area. “One of our armed response officers was sent to Antigua Avenue just after 9am to respond to reports of trespassing. It was alleged that an unidentified person had jumped over the wall onto someone’s property,” explains Mr Jade Hanning, Western Cape General Manager at Fidelity ADT.
While he was at the address busy with an inspection to try and locate the alleged trespasser, the officer was alerted by a neighbour that they too had experienced someone trespassing. “Our officer then searched this second property, where he quickly located the alleged trespasser. He was handed over to Fish Hoek SAPS for questioning,” says Hanning.
“Please make contact with the police or your armed response company if you see anyone illegally obtain access to your property. My advice is to not challenge the trespasser, but to alert trained officers to come to your assistance as quickly as possible.”
