Residents of Gqeberha made use of another opportunity to learn important self-defence tips, at a workshop held in town recently. It was hosted by armed response company Fidelity ADT in conjunction with the Business Women’s Association and the Summerstrand NHW.
“Police, law enforcement, and security companies will do everything they can to keep communities safe. We hope these workshops give people that extra edge in the fight against crime so that they know how to avoid a dangerous situation and also what to do if someone tries to attack them,” says the Gqeberha branch manager for Fidelity ADT, Bernadette Nel-Naude.
The workshop was hosted at the Summerstrand United Church, on Saturday 4 November 2023.
The workshop had two areas of focus. Attendees were first shown a presentation on the types of dangerous situations they might encounter and how to avoid it, while the second part was a practical demonstration on easy-to-use self-defence techniques.
