The South African Police Service (SAPS) recently took custody of a suspect thanks to the quick response and vigilance of a local security company.
“On Monday, 21 August, our control room received an alarm activation from a Kommissie Street home and immediately dispatched armed response, who arrived at the premises within minutes,” says Charnel Hattingh, head of communications and marketing for the Fidelity Services Group.
Upon arrival, the armed response officer (ARO) conducted a perimeter search and soon discovered a suspect hiding in the garage. The suspect was apprehended and taken to the local SAPS.
“We commend our officer for his quick response, vigilance and bravery which ensured that this intruder was caught,” concludes Hattingh.
